Spend a few hours learning taiko drumming with Do Kon Daiko, a locally established ensemble that has been together for over ten years. This workshop will be focused on first time, non musicians who can feel confortable in exploring something new and exciting.

Taiko has been a part of the Japanese heritage from the earliest days and the thrill of hitting a big drum is something that everyone should take part in.

Space is limited so you are encouraged to sign up early.

 

Cost : The cost of the workshop is $50.00. Payments are to be made prior to the day of the workshop.

What you need: Bring comfortable clothing, water and a willingness to try something new. We will provide bachi (drumsticks) that you can keep and a fun three hours of instruction that will end in you playing a traditional Japanese song.
